The TS-bPASS Act turns two years. The Act was passed on Nov 16, 2020, but it came into vogue in Hyderabad three months later. The Act made securing house building permission a lot easier, which was not the case earlier. The permissions for construction of building are being granted within minutes if the application and other documents are in order. In fact, over 1.5 lakh permissions, including 34,000 in GHMC limits, were issued so far. The HMDA, Greater Warangal Municipal Corporation, Karimnagar Municipal Corporation and other municipalities come only next to Hyderabad.
Disciplinary action like imposing cuts in salaries of officials is being initiated if any official was found negligent in clearing the applications seeking building permissions. For the construction of G+ 1 floor on sites below 75 square yards need not require any permission. The house owner should pay Re 1 and register the house. For plot sizes up to 600 square yards and for structures below 1 the height of 10 meters. If the site area exceeds 600 square yards and height of the residential or non-residential building is more than 10 meters, NoC can be obtained through a single window.
