Hyderabad: The luxury furniture market has been picking up after the Covid-19. People who bought high-end flats in and around Hyderabad have set their sights on buying luxury furniture, according to Khazana Group CMD Bhawant Anand. Tracing the trends in luxury furniture market in the country in an interview with Real Estate Guru, he acknowledged that the pandemic has impacted sales in this segment by at least 20 per cent.

The demand for IT, ITES and Pharma sector jobs is on the rise. There were no job cuts in these sectors to a large extent. But, the employees did not come out of their homes during the second wave of the pandemic. People who have already purchased luxury flats and villas have started decorating their homes with interior designing works. As a result, they started buying luxury furniture. The IT experts, by virtue of their overseas postings, have understood the foreign furniture trends and have developed a taste for branded furniture. Upon return to India, they have started buying imported furniture.

Understanding the importance of luxury furniture, he said that his company opened a furniture show-room on a 10,000-sft office on Road No. 36 in Jubilee Hills in 2001. As if it is not enough, the company has started its modular furniture division in 2006. In 2008, the company opened its overseas furniture show-room having a plinth area of over 30,000 square feet in Jubilee Hills. It started its own furniture production centre by 2011. After two years, a premium global furniture show room was started in 30,000 sft area on Road No.45 in Jubilee Hills.

The company moved forward introducing new features in furniture department. That is why the company reached a commanding position in the shortest possible time. So far, it executed successfully over 12,000 projects, extending satisfactory services to over one-lakh customers. The company has emerged as one of the leading concerns during the past thirty years because of the importance it gives to novelty.

Furniture from over 20 countries

To bring the latest furniture trends to the people of Hyderabad, The Company has started a luxury boutique show room titled Elevate X. In a seven-storey structure on Road No.12 in Banjara Hills, each floor is developed with unique concept show casing 25-30 designs. The company has introduced over 300 different luxury home design concepts. This showroom stocks branded furniture of over 20 countries.

Cost of each luxury cot begins from Rs 2 lakh

The luxury furniture from over 20 countries like sofa sets, dining tables, cots, modular kitchen, artefacts, recliners, room designs attract one and all. The design of each and every item and manufacturing process and the material used decide its cost. Sofas and cots can be bought from Rs 2 lakh onwards. A fabric sofa set costs Rs 2.5 lakh, while leather soft sofa has been priced above Rs 4 lakh. However, a dining set can be bought for Rs 3 lakh.
