The ‘Pushpaka Vimanam’ actress Saanve Megghana loves freshening things up in her home in Hyderabad! Her mom who was once an interior designer, knew very well on how not to drain the bank accounts to make it all happen. The Telugu actress has taken the time to fill her own home with pieces that bring her immense joy. Desiring to have unique mirrors all around that brightens her day or a well-placed dance floor that make the space feel like all about Saanve is what she is looking for in her dream home. Either way, she is likely to create a cozy, comfortable space for herself to relax and hang out.
Of course, it’s not always realistic to hire an interior designer for every person on your list this season but for the actress there are definite ways to help make someone’s home feel a little bit more like the sanctuary it should be. “Anyone would fall head over heels in love with a lavish house but family is what will actually make it a realistic home than the lavishness. I have always had my dream home picturised in my head — let my dream abode have multiple mirrors & funky textures because that is what describes my personality too,” she added. The actress is extremely fond of pop-up colors! Whereas she also describes to us on how it turns into a tug of war since her mother is extremely opposite of who Saanve is & what she likes. “My mum is fond of only toned down & nude colours. Whereas, I want every room in my dream home to be as colorful as it can be! Every corner should stand out.
My dream home should display a palette of vibrant colors,” she said. All her childhood all she could think of was black & white, however when she regained her senses, she now thinks beyond those & seems to be a really colorful woman. She also credits this sense of quality to her skills of doing art too, she paints so she knows how to play with colours & that is what she’s hoping to incorporate in her dream love-nest too. The one must-have corner in her house would be a giant space for her to shake a leg, she mentions she’s all set to do some crazy shit on it! Not at all interested in purchasing a flat in an apartment, she has strict reasons for it. She continued, “I am only fond of independent homes — everything is so personal and intimate. Own garden, own corners & own chilling spaces. You can call whoever you want.
There’s so much of ‘kirkiri’ that happens in an apartment. I am staying in one, which is why I can confirm (she giggled).” Everyone has a different interior style and this can make shopping for home decor both exciting and a bit of a challenge too. After all, decor is pretty personal. For example, Saanve is going to devote her time to the dining area since after a hectic day of work, she’ll only be looking forward to some juicy dining table conversations at home! Anywhere close to her professional life, she’s ready to build that dream land. After spending way more time at home due to the back to back lockdowns, it’s safe to say the way people now want to decorate their spaces have totally changed upside down. For Saanve, surely funky decors gives a meaning to her life! “I am born and brought up in Hyderabad, I have a special connect with the city already. There is a mixed culture here & warm people. Even if they are yelling on each other, I find that sweet. It shows they are a pakka Hyderabadi!”
Narrating to us her favourite childhood memory from her initial homes in Hyderabad, she had a smarty pet with who she used to play hide & seek in that house. She feels the pet’s reminiscent will always stay behind in that home, she can feel it. Her dream home is a bigger reflection of her personality so it was quite evident for us to ask her the four main factors that one must look for in the actress’ dream home and that is, “Scenic garden, bigger terrace, colorful walls & my dance floor. Yes, I am a DIY girl but I’ll still want my mother to incense her ideas in my dream home since she has a brilliant taste in decor.” The one celeb’s home style she would like to steal will definitely be SRK’s ‘Mannat’, she has her eyes set upon it. When we asked her why? She gleamingly said that the ‘Urdu’ phonetics attracts her & ‘Mannat’ certainly describes the home as the Bollywood Baadshah’s palace.
