For some unknown reason, the Rajiv Swagruha housing scheme seems to be a slight not only to the previous government but also to the current government. That’s why, even after more than a year since the Congress government came to power, there was no focus on the Rajiv Swagruha houses. However, once the government started thinking about generating funds, the Rajiv Swagruha scheme suddenly came to their attention. Immediately, they began focusing on auctioning these houses. In this process, plans were prepared to sell Rajiv Swagruha houses, Housing Board flats, and other properties. The cabinet sub-committee approved the proposals prepared by officials in this regard. It was decided to issue a notification for the sale of Rajiv Swagruha houses and Housing Board flats by the 20th of this month and to make necessary arrangements accordingly.
Under the Rajiv Swagruha scheme, the government is ready to sell flats in apartments that are either fully or partially constructed across 11 locations in several districts, along with open plots. Additionally, under the Housing Board, open plots and vacant lands in four locations will be sold through public auctions. Regarding Rajiv Swagruha, in places like Gajularamaram, Pochampally, and Khammam Polepally, tower units with approximately 100 to 150 flats each—where construction is still incomplete—will be sold as a whole unit.
