The incident of a scribe posing an uneasy question at Tollywood actor Siddhu Jonnalagadda stirred a controversy during the trailer launch of his recently released movie DJ Tillu. But, enough controversies now — to lighten up the mood, we quickly got on a call with the heartthrob to know about his beautiful insights on a dream home. While in conversation with the actor who also adorns the cap of a screenwriter, he revealed to REG that he doesn’t own a house of his own in the city of Hyderabad yet, but whenever he does it’s going to be worth the peek!
“My dream home will ensure a comfortable environment, I won’t buy it to showcase a social status but for my own relaxation. I like big houses! When someone speaks of childhood, I immediately go back to Padmarao Nagar in Hyderabad. The house over there gives me some unfastening memories — it was cozy, small scale infrastructure and I haven’t forgotten the smell of it till today. That’s the beauty of such an old home. Moreover, youngsters in Warasiguda and Chilkalguda talked in the Hyderabadi Telangana dialect. There is the rivalry between gangs from each street. The boys there are also more chilled out than those in, say, Banjara Hills.”
While for most people a decent sized house is more than enough, for Siddhu, it’s only a giant ostentatious home that will rise to his limitless expectations in future. Lavish décor is what he’s going to go for! “I would like to add some drama in my room. Daring to be different! Breaking away from the monotony of a single coloured room, few colours to my interior can help define my mood, or catapult me into a different space and time! Can think of embellishing my windows in a dreamy way by making them smart and elegant. I want to boast of originality and a chic idea in front of my friends. Why not try decorating the wall with things I like, or something chic or even dramatic.” What if he had all the money in the world, what do you think the Guntur Talkies fame would do? Well, he says, “I would have hired the best interior designer on block to help me build my dream home in the country. It’s fascinating to see what they can do with their skills! They are known for combining simplicity, craftsmanship, elegant functionality and quality materials into one. Sophistication is present in their details and that’s what I am looking for.”
Where would he like to build this beautiful big villa? He continued, “Celebrated for their picturesque views and refreshing atmosphere, the misty hill stations are pretty much on everyone’s dream home list. Yes, I would like to build my bungalow at a hill station. It will be a perfect escape from the scorching heat and the chaotic city life, hills will offer me serenity that a city seldom might.” That was a fantasy choice that he desires, but he got a little more practical and changed the route of his response into a penthouse in a multi storied high rise building on the top most floor! That’s how Siddhu Jonalagadda described his dream home to us — from a very small scale infrastructure, to wishing to own a gigantic villa one day, to moving to the charm of a rural hill to being fond of skyscrapers, he is all into luxury and multiple quests for his dream home.
