The HMDA has been busy constructing a fly-over from Coca-Cola junction to Bachupally, while the people are going through hell daily getting caught in traffic snarls on the road from Miyapur to Coca-Cola junction in Hyderabad. None is questioning the HMDA why is it building the flyover from Coca-Cola junction to Bachupally, but the people are appealing it to build the fly-over from Coca-Cola junction to Miyapur, given the traffic problems that people experience on a daily basis. The Hyderabad Road Development Corporation, prior to the last Assembly election, undertook road widening work from the Miyapur to HDFC bank in the locality for the name sake and later washed off its hands off the project. Afterwards, it did not take second look at it. Currently, the HMDA is building a fly-over at Bachupally.
In the process, the R and B department entrusted work to widen the road from Bachupally to Gandi Mysamma temple, but it turned a blind eye on the traffic problems on the Coca-Cola junction to Bachupally Road. Who will build the fly-over on this road? Which agency is going to widen the road here? The locals have been demanding Arekapudi Gandhi to focus on the issue. The people appeal to save them, including children, who have been going through a harrowing experience caught in the traffic snarls on this stretch of road especially during peak hours.
