Case against 27 developers

Case was registered against 27 developers in Maharashtra for using fake documents to get their properties registered with the Maha RERA. In Maharashtra’s Thane district, 27 builders used forged documents for the purpose. The Kalyan-Dombvili Municipal Corporation (KDMC) lodged a complaint with the police that the developers wrongfully claimed that the KDMC gave permission to them to build the projects. This fraud took place during 2017-2022. Building the houses with the help of fake documents, the realtors sold the units at a cost of Rs 25 lakh to Rs 35 lakh each. In the complaint, the KDMC mentioned that the builders duped people of at least 27 villages with the help of forged documents.
