The 20th edition of the Green Building Congress is being organised at HICC in the city from October 20 to 22. Addressing a press conference recently, IGBC Hyderabad Chairman C Shekhar Reddy revealed that efforts are being made to create a road map to achieve net zero emissions in India by 2070, encouraging more people to join the green building movement. It is said that more than 80 eminent speakers are attending the three-day conference. He said that many important topics related to green buildings, will be covered at the conference. More than 20 international speakers will share their experiences. He explained that this conference will help them effectively increase awareness about the best standards in green building constructions.
* Shekhar Reddy said that this platform will work for people and companies who want to discuss about green buildings together. It is expected to attract around 3,000 delegates and 10,000 visitors to the expo. Architects, builders, developers, engineers, contractors, planners, consultants, corporate, government officials, green product manufacturers, procurement officers, project owners, IT companies, educational institutions, technology providers etc. will participate in this three-day event.
* Special sessions on green homes, green products and materials will be organised in this three-day conference, he said. As part of the Green Building Congress 2022, awards will be given to those who have made special efforts in the green movement. Green Your School Programme and Green Design Competition have been organised for the last 15 years to educate children about the importance of green structures. IGBC Executive Director KS Venkatagiri, IGBC Deputy Executive Director M Anand and others participated in this press conference.
