Actress Daisy Shah was just feeling so amazing when she became independent on our own at the age of 18 years. She was getting to make her own choices, and with the investment of a house of her own she really learnt how not to rely upon others. She was dealing with this showbiz industry, in spite of that she believed in living more independently.
“Yes it’s true that I bought a house of my own at the age of eighteen. Because I was not interested in relying upon anybody else’s allowance at all. Neither will I hide from my fans that I worked my a** of to pay the emi’s. Sometimes I do have a tiny feeling of being sorry because I couldn’t enjoy my own house to the extent I imagined it to be. I used to just go and sleep in it due to my hectic choreography schedules. But this doesn’t mean I’m complaining about it, it’s just a feeling of contrition. In fact everybody else including me was looking at it as a big achievement to buy a house of your own at such a young age. I had so many colleagues of mine who are living in rented houses but I had a house of my own!” It’s not anything like she is drowning in possessions.
The actress totally feels that the best thing you can do for your home is to embrace minimalism. “I don’t like decorating anything so lavishly. A restrained palette and simplicity can do wonders in your house. I would rather have my preference in a bungalow with a lot of garden space than materialistic things! And I have seen whenever somebody designs this space minimalistically, the scope for error becomes less. And I’m such a pet lover, specially I love dogs so why not fill my garden space with a lot of dogs. All in all I want a gorgeous and a practical space.” Creating an outdoor space for herself is what revives the Jai Ho actress! Not just revives, she feels inspirational too. As she mentions, “Even if it is a tiny lawn—everything from grass type to the design of flower beds will be so lovely. And I again emphasize, looking at the animal abuse outside I would like to, actually love to rehabilitate all the animals in that sprawling lawn. Basically I want to make the most of the natural surrounding!”
There something very different about Daisy Shah’s living room, that is like any other syllabus home or even a normal residence there is no television in daisy’s living room for a particular reason that brings the whole family together in that space. They played together they eat together. Or they have conversations in depth! “I am a marine life lover so if given an opportunity I would love to build a home near the ocean. Maldives and Mauritius have been one of my most favourite places off late. It’s not like I fantasize about it everyday, I am a very practical woman. To me, it sometimes feel unrealistic also but who knows I find an angel investor someday? I am open to scoring a vacation home is what I mean.”
