“Would love to own a Dravidian themed home’: Abhignya Vuthaluru

Even Telugu actress Abhignya Vuthaluru shares the sentiments of owning a property of her own — after all home ownership is important for an independent woman. She’ll soon take the plunge, but just before that let’s get to know some of her ambitions of building a dream home from scratch. Last seen in Geetha Subramanyam 30, the actress shares, “I was in my fourth grade when a luxury home inspired me. My father took me to one of his friends house who was an IAS officer. So many plants inside the house was in itself tempting to me as a child. Back then, this wasn’t a fashion to have indoor plants! I remember it as a three-storeyed bungalow with a bohemian style.”

She doesn’t have a dream home planned yet, still she has some aspirations to tell us exclusively, “I would like my house to be very theme-oriented. So if my family is moving in with me, my theme would be either south-indian or Dravidian. Nature references will also do! But what if I am living alone, then I’ll go with my childhood fantasy of a bohemian theme.” So exquisite and classy is what she wants! Moving ahead, “I am old-school. So I’ll prefer an individual bungalow to myself to have a countryside feeling simultaneously.

My life is already very advancing and urban-oriented, so when I come back home I hope to have a space that reminds me of my cultural roots.” Like pieces close to her heart that speaks volumes about the people who live in that home is what is this actress’ idea, basically. Moreover, “My accesories should be someone very mediaeval. That will bring intricacies ahead. The striking craftsmanship will show complexities of my accessories. Maybe made of garnets and semi-precious stones? Should actually span the realm of art in my house.”

When we asked her about the dream destination, she immediately goes, “Paris! I love it’s balconies. The buildings! When you visit paris, you see their cultural treasures even in their homes. It’s disalarmingly sentimental to me.” Overtime, she has built an ironic love for artisanal past and that’s what keeps the actress attach these old art supplies. We all keep wondering whether “vastu” really matters or not —well to Abhignya it very well does! She is incumbent on it and wants to only attract happiness in her new home. Finally, it’s Ananya Pandey’s home that attracts her the most. Reason being, it’s chic & a fancy pad for the blossoming actress of our industry.
