A shocking incident occurred for a landowner who applied for LRS. The owner was taken aback when they received a letter stating that the LRS fee was a whopping Rs 27 crore. This incident took place in Jadcherla, Mahbubnagar district, on Wednesday. Padma, a woman from Kishtareddinagar, located in Survey No. 108 in the Jadcherla Municipality, had applied for regularisation of her 337-square-yard residential plot on October 15, 2020. Recently, the municipal officials sent a letter to the applicant for the payment of the LRS fee. The letter stated that she needed to pay Rs 27,33,42,786 for regularisation charges, which left her in shock. However, Jadcherla Municipal Commissioner Lakshmareddy clarified that there was a technical error and assured that they would correct it and send a new letter regarding the LRS charges.
