Chennai CREDAI acts fast on complaints

Chennai CREDAI has emerged as the front runner in resolving the complaints of buyers of properties. Out of 44 complaints against 19 builders, 38 have been resolved. They pertain to delay in delivery of property, refund of the money, not providing amenities as promised and creation of the corpus fund. On an average, the complaints get redressed from 45 days to 90 days on order of priority basis. There are some complaints that have been resolved in just a day, remarks CREDAI Chennai president K Sivagurunathan.

In spite of Chennai CREDAI’s existence for the past 10 years, complainants consulting the CREDAI is of a latest development. An exclusive committee goes into the complaints from property buyers and resolves them. “Buyers should consult the committee first in case of any problems. It is easy to resolve the problems at the meeting of builders and developers. The complainant can approach Tamil Nadu RERA if he or she feels that they can quick justice there,” Gurunathan said. CREDAI Chennai resolves only those issues that pertain to projects of member builders.
