The municipal administration director N Satyanarayana has issued orders to collect a fine of Rs 5000 from each of five municipal officials who have delayed awarding permissions for construction of buildings under the TS-iBPASS.
They have been fined for neglecting verification of site to award permissions for construction. They have been identified as Manibhushan of Narsapur municipality, K Yashwant Reddy of Kamareddy municipality, Yadaiah of Ibrahimpatnam Municipality, T Suresh of Khammam Municipal Corporation and Mohammad Sharaj Ahmed of Maktal municipality. The orders have been issued to recover the fine amount from their salaries. While Ahmed of Maktal civic body delayed the relevant file by 42 days, Kammam Municipal Corporation official Suresh kept the file in pending for more than 29 days. Manibushan kept 19 applications in pending for more than 19 days. As per the new policy of the government in awarding permission for house construction, the buildings to be built up to 10 metres height in an area of 500 square metres should be given permission through online self-certification. The five officials have been fined for not discharging their duties properly.
