With an interesting segment like this, actress Irra Mor who we recently saw in the MS Raju directorial described to us her desires of a dream home. With a balance of intellect and emotions, she’s on the right track. Changes are ahead of her — “Classic, lavish decor is my way to go. Richly embellished items are preferable. Turning my maximalist rooms with a timeless collection will be so good to see. The combination is bound to make anyone stop and stare. Sequins also attracts me a lot! Ah sparkly, it will make my home look upscale and plush. I am not really into paintings, but vases full of flowers, just can’t keep myself away from those. We live in a DIY era and I would love to cross paths for extreme decor.”
She’s in the market for a new high-rise building, well because, “I love the view from a high-rise building — look at the height. In a balcony in that building, on one of the top floors to party will be a sight to see. Another advantage is security! I can’t wait to book a flat on the 30th floor. Certainly, bungalows reminds me of my childhood residence.” When Irra isn’t shooting, she has a big garden where she spends maximum time. She continued, “Growing your veggies without any pesticides is such a feel-good breather. It’s picking up most in our urban areas and its fun for me to do this when I am not shooting. Basically, i am the one who involved in gardening at home. It reduces my stress levels.”
Choosing Mumbai as the place to build her dream home, she feels the vibe there. “It connects me to my glamour world, in all ways it’s a mega city. So much of power and fame. And, the British architecture is a pleasant sight. A true galaxy of stars in real sense,” she added. Not a fan of hotchpotch, she likes it all organised. She also mentioned, “Organising my home is a treat for me, welcomed chance to focus on the art of living in an orderly manner. For others, it may be a daunting task but not for me. There are tons of feelings involved even in decluttering your home. The lights should be beaming! The combination of pink and white is what I like. A mess free home is all that I desire for.”
She still remembers the way late Irfan Khan’s home looked, she’s been there. What she really liked there was the color combination that’s like a blue Santorini in front of you. And, cut two, there are so many plants there. He had a living-room pond! “All is dark-blue, and dimly lit. He also has an area surrounded with mirrors. His house marveled of craft and symmetry to me.”
