Infosys founder Narayana Murthy buys Rs 50 Crore flat

Narayana Murthy, the founder of Infosys, has reportedly purchased a luxurious apartment in the Kingfisher Towers in Bengaluru. This flat, which cost nearly Rs 50 crore, is located on the 16th floor and spans 8,400 square feet. The apartment includes four bedrooms and five car parking spaces. The price paid for the 8,400 square feet flat works out to Rs 59,500 per square foot, making it one of the highest-priced properties in Bengaluru.

The Kingfisher Towers is a 34-story luxury residential complex situated on a 4.5-acre plot of land. It includes 81 four-bedroom apartments with sizes starting from 8,000 square feet. Once the ancestral residence of Vijay Mallya’s family, the land was developed in 2010 through a joint venture between the Prestige Group and Mallya’s company. Initially, these luxury apartments were sold for Rs 22,000 per square foot.

Murthy’s flat was reportedly purchased from a businessman based in Mumbai, and the deal was facilitated by Sadhvani Real Estate Holdings. This is the second flat for Narayana Murthy in the Kingfisher Towers; four years ago, his wife, Sudha Murthy, had bought a flat on the 23rd floor for Rs 29 crore.
