Constructing a house is a complex method involving multiple works from digging foundations to mixing concrete, installing pillars to laying slabs and building walls to plastering the entire structure. But what if there is a new technology which saves time and easy on your pockets as well.
Pre-Enginered Building (PEB) is a new construction technology using steel frames, is fast catching up among urban dwellers. The architects will design a structure as per the area available, manufacture the entire building in different pieces at a factory and then fit these pieces at the site, to deliver a finished house.
PEB has gained popularity in recent times and is turning out to be a major alternatives to the RCC architecture. This technology is alreay a favoured construction method in states like Gujarat, Maharashtra, Karnataka and Tamil Nadu. The new trend is gaining popularity in the Telugu states as well.
The structure of the house is entirely fabricated in a factory and brought to the plot where the pre-fabricated pieces will be fitted to complete the construction. Thus, six 600 square feet to four storey buildings can be constructed using the PEB technology. Offices, farm houses, site offices, temporary structures, and multi-storey apartments, all are being favoured to be built with the PEB method.
There are several benefits of constructing buildings using PEB technology. There is no room for cracks in the structure in near future and does not create problems like leakages. The entire building can be completed in a month or two. The advantages of PEB technology do not end here. The entire structure can be dismantled and relocated to another location to rebuild it with lesser damage as well as cost. The construction cost could be upto Rs 3,500 oer sq.ft including sanitary ware, flooring, electric wiring and kitchen, among others.
Once the decision is made to build a house in PEB method, you would have to consult a PEB construction company which will come up with the electrical and plumbing designs for the construction. The company will then present the cost estimates for the construction work, following a contract is signed for execution of the work. Based on the design and size of the structure, the entire building can be completed within two months.
