Kompally Drainage problem should be solved

  • Traffic at Bowenpally should be streamlined
  • CREDAI Hyderabad president Ramakrishna Rao

CREDAI Hyderabad president Ramakrishna Rao said that drainage is a big problem especially in North Hyderabad and the government should resolve it on a priority basis. Speaking at CREDAI Hyderabad Property Show held recently in Kompally, he said that Kompally area is witnessing significant development and there is an urgent need to improve infrastructure, accordingly. He urged the government to focus on the drainage system by taking appropriate measures to avoid unnecessary burden on it.

He also suggested for systematic control of the traffic which has increased drastically at Bowenpally junction. He said that if the traffic from Secunderabad to Balanagar is diverted by developing an alternate road infrastructure, the traffic can be reduced by 50 percent at Bowepally junction. He informed that CREDAI Hyderabad had already submitted relevant proposals with a master plan in this regard. He said that if the government succeeds in developing the alternate road which is less than 500 metres, the traffic problem at Bowenpally can be solved to a large extent. Further, he also requested for developing the Quthbullapur-Shapurnagar road or any other alternate roads to decongest the traffic on the route. He urged the State government to focus on connectivity to develop North Hyderabad further.

Ramakrishna Rao said that there are many problems on the Dharani website. He said that six out of 10 lands in Hyderabad city, have one problem or the other. To address even smallest problem, it is taking six months time. Hence, he wanted the government to establish a mechanism to address the land issues on a priority basis. He urged the government to collect the labour cess in installments. As it would be difficult to the builders to pay everything in advance, he appealed to the government to take a positive decision regarding the labour cess.
