- Development of illegal layouts in the name of farm land
- Green Valley project in Mekalagattu in Janagoan
- The official machinery turns blind eye
Officials who are supposed to protect the customers from real estate frauds pay no attention to development of illegal layouts. As a result, several who have purchased sites in these ventures are being duped by the realtors. Another example for this is the Green Valley Farm land project developed in an area of 17 acres in Mekalagattu village of Raghunadhapalli mandal of Janagoan district.
In fact, the Green Valley project has no necessary permission to develop the venture. However, it lied to the customers stating the project has all necessary permissions. The officials who are supposed to resist the development of the layout are looking the other way as the Green Valley goes about selling the plots.
DTCP permission is essential for development of a venture. In fact, if anyone develops such a venture, the authorities should remove the structures in such illegal venture and should install a board indicating that the venture is an illegal one.
But the officials did not initiate such measures. The allegations are that the realtors and officials are in hand-in-glove with each other. The Green Valley has targeted employees and middle classes in selling the plots. However, the officials say that the plots are not being registered. However, the realtor says that there was no suspension of registering the plots.
In this backdrop, the official machinery should take suitable action to prevent gullible public from cheating by the unscrupulous realtors.
