A Delhi court has refused bail to Rudra Group Promoter and Builder Mukesh Khurana as he is facing charges of having duped several customers. The court took a serious view of Khurana not cooperating with the investigating officer and felt that the investigation officer need not hesitate to take Khurana into the custody, according to remarks passed by the designated court judge.
The case is not pertaining to delay in handing over possession of flats. It was proved beyond doubt that Khurana sold the same flat to more than one customer with the help of the fake documents. Khurana, his wife Babita, his relatives Nitin Dua, Sanjeev Arora and Vijay Shukla, making false promises and on strength of the fake documents, had sold 11 flats in Palace Heights, according to the prosecution. In this backdrop, the bail petition filed by Khurana was dismissed by the court.
