Prices of houses multiply by 33% in 3 years

In property prices, the Gachibowli area of the city figured at the top across the country. During
the past three years, 33% increase in the prices was registered, while the property prices across
seven major cities of the country registered growth between 13% and 33%, according to a report
released by Anarock property consultants. The price per square yard in Gachibowli in October of
2023 was Rs 6335 as against Rs 4,790 in October 2020. The Kondapur region witnessed 31%
increase in the past three years to settle at Rs 6090 per square yard. Three years ago, a square
yard cost in the region was Rs 4650.
With the people seeking spacious houses full of amenities, rents of properties have increased, the
report said. In the Whitefield area of the Garden City of Bangalore, the property prices have
registered a 29% increase to reach Rs 6325 per square yard. The cities of Delhi and Mumbai
have registered an increase in rents in the range of 13-27 in the past three years. Wagholi in
Pune, where it companies concentrated, the rents have increased by 25 per cent, while Hinjewadi
and Wakad registered a 22% and 19% increase respectively.
