Rs. 2.29 lakh crores in 3 years

Investments have surged into the Indian real estate sector. Between 2022 and 2024, a total of Rs 2.29 lakh crore in equity investments flowed into the sector. Of this, nearly half, amounting to Rs 57,600 crore, came into Mumbai alone. These details were revealed in a joint report by CII and CBRI. Along with Mumbai, investments in Delhi-NCR and Bengaluru have totaled $16.5 billion. These three markets accounted for 62% of the total investments in the real estate sector between 2022 and 2024. The report also mentioned that 10% of the equity investments (approximately $3 billion) went into Tier-2 city real estate over the past three years. CBRI India Chairman and CEO Ashmun Magazine stated that the Indian real estate sector has entered a new growth phase, supported by strong capital investments and the availability of land for development.
