DTCP cancels Mahira Homes license

Over 1500 buyers are in a fix with the DTCP cancelling the license of realtor Mahira Homes as majority of them have paid the full cost of the flat upfront and are waiting for the developers to give possession of the flat. The DTCP has cancelled the license of the Mahira Homes as it found out that the realtor submitted forged documents and fake bank guarantees.

Moreover, the DTCP has lodged a complaint against the DTCP with the police. However, the DTCP is of the view to complete the project to protect the interests of the buyers, who are agonised by the DTCP cancelling Mahira Homes license. They wonder how authorities can grant permission to the Mahira Homes without perusing the documents.

In 10 acres of land of Sector 68 in Gurgaon, the Mahira Infratech Pvt Limited launched a project. It got the DTCP approval in 2017. (Earlier too, the Mahira has executed the project called Sai Aseena Farms Pvt Limited) As several complaints have been lodged against Mahira alleging the realtor of indulging in irregularities, the DTCP launched a probe into the allegations.

It cancelled the project’s license as the allegations against the realtor were found to be true. At the same time, to protect the interests of the buyers, it wanted to complete the project itself. It asked the buyers to meet the DTCP within a fortnight with all documentary evidence.
