The ruling political party, BRS, is trying hard to score a hat-trick in the third general election in Telangana state. The ruling party is at the forefront of cooking up pro-BRS stories in their own media channels while attacking the Congress and BJP parties. Most builders in the state want the ruling party to win again. Because the pride of Rs 100 crore per acre in Kokapet belongs to the present government, including the Rs 41 crore per acre auction in Budvel, Moreover, many foreign companies are showing interest in foraying into Hyderabad. It seems that if the Congress government comes to power in this order, the whole development will be put on hold. Moreover, Minister KTR has been maintaining good relations with construction unions since the beginning. There is a feeling among some builders that they can openly share with Minister KTR if they are facing any problems. That is why the majority of construction unions want BRS to win for the third time instead of Congress. That’s why, like usual, this time all the real estate associations are holding a real estate summit ahead of elections. Otherwise, the BRS had a resounding success when it was held at the JRC Convention Centre in the past. But now the venue has changed to HICC, so we have to wait until December 3 to know the result.
After the formation of Telangana state, there are criticisms that the government did not give much priority to the realtors and promoters of the Telangana region, either in the infrastructure sector or in the real estate sector. After all, there are already criticisms that even Minister KTR has given priority to other builders and not to local Telangana builders. In the background of the general elections, the balance of power has suddenly changed, and the criticism of Congress has increased. There are allegations that Minister KTR has implemented GO No. 50 to help an Andhra construction company. Even today, some builders are openly criticizing the fact that the prices of land in Hyderabad have increased due to the increase in built-up area for the landlords. However, it would have been better if that was limited to only a few areas. It would have been better if it were implemented in areas like Kokapet, Financial District, Osman Nagar, and Kollur. Apart from that, developers are competing to build skyscrapers everywhere. As a result, the price of land has skyrocketed. In the same order, the prices of flats increased so that common and middle-class people could not afford to buy their own houses. Home buyers feel that the government has failed to curb these pre-launches.
Is KTR repeating CBN’s mistake?
In the case of Hyderabad, it is being heard everywhere that KTR is repeating the mistakes that former CM Chandrababu Naidu made. Because in the 2004 elections, CBN focused on Hyderabad and forgot the rural areas. Minister KTR is giving more priority to Hyderabad and projecting the growth story of Hyderabad. It is known that announcements were made about the development of Hyderabad during the final match of the Cricket World Cup the other day. Analysts say that no matter how much hype is made about the Kaleshwaram project, it is said that people are shocked by KTR’s speech in many meetings, as if victory is natural. It is analyzed that a large percentage of people are opposing the schemes started by Dalit Bandhu and BC Bandhu.
Realty Associations?
Some builders in Telangana State were surprised when Revanth Reddy recently spoke about the development of Hyderabad and his understanding regarding the development of Hyderabad. So there are a good number of builders supporting Congress. However, this support is not solely because of their understanding of the state’s development; analysts predict that they are leaning towards the Congress because of their antagonism towards the ruling party. However, it can be said that in the current elections, all the construction organizations in Telangana state are engaged in campaigning on behalf of the ruling party. What would happen if Prime Minister Modi supported Trump in the US presidential election? What if such a result is repeated in our state? This is something that all builders’ societies should think about. They are sane only when they behave beyond politics.
