The size of the domestic house cleaning industry in the country is put at Rs 2000 crore, which includes Rs 150 Crore Hyderabad house cleaning market. The industry is tipped to grow at the rate of 20 per cent per annum and will reach Rs 15000-crore mark in the next five years, according to a conservative estimate by the facilities management company 24 SIPS.
Recently, 24 SIPS entered the cleaning services sector with the brand name Clean Shield. It will provide cleanliness in apartments and villas and other maintenance services. In the wake of the pandemic situation, cleaning of the house has become the most essential. People seeking professional cleaning services have increased by 300 per cent.
Depending on the needs of the residents, either the whole house or a part of it – drawing room or bed room – will be cleaned.
The firm charges Rs 4000 to clean a 2BHK house of 1200 sft area. Three or four experts will complete the task of cleaning the house in three or four hours.
Flow of Rs 18,616 Cr investments likely
The mood among the investors is upbeat on account of the constructive reforms initiated in the real estate sector. As a result, the next year will see the domestic realty sector attracting huge investments. The prediction is to attract US $ 250 crore investments in 2022, according to Knight Frank India CMD Sisir Baijal. The flow of investments would be from the USA, the UK, Germany, France and the Netherlands.
