CM Revanth Reddy said that Hyderabad is not an Old City but an original city. Speaking at the foundation-laying ceremony of the Old Basti Metro Rail project, he said that politics is only important when elections approach and that the rest of the time they will focus on development. He said that they are working to develop the original city to the fullest extent and are making a master plan to develop the Musi area. He said that they would beautify the Musi River catchment area within 55 km of the city from Gandipet. He also mentioned that they will go ahead with many development programmes to uphold the prestige of the city.
