Conservation of ponds started!

The government has initiated the process of protecting ponds and lakes under the jurisdiction of the HMDA. For this, CM Revanth Reddy suggested the officials seek the cooperation of district collectors and work in coordination. Of the 8,374 acres of land parcels under HMDA, there are court cases at various levels regarding 2031 parcels. The CM suggested that the HMDA lands should be protected from alienation, and mapping of the land should be done using digital and GPS methods.

He said that measures should be taken to increase the income of the HMDA in the places under their jurisdiction. They also want to focus on the income from advertisements. He said that special officers should be appointed to ensure that land fouling is not done and land parcels and ponds are not encroached upon. The CM suggested that one IPS officer at the DIG level and two SP-rank officers should be given responsibility.

Development like Dubai..

The CM advised the authorities to make the surrounding areas near Hussainsagar a pleasant and beautiful zone. The CM suggested that the entire area, from Ambedkar Statue, NTR Park, Telangana Amarula Jyoti, Necklace Road to Indira Park, and Sanjeevayya Park, should be made into a world-class sightseeing area. The CM told the officials that the encroachments around Hussainsagar should be removed and the area should be converted in a way that is enjoyed by tourists and city people during their leisure time. It is suggested to develop a skywalk, food stalls, a children’s amusement zone, and a greenery landscape like Dubai. If necessary, it is suggested to divert the vehicular traffic in this area to another route and turn it into a tourist zone.
