The residence of Harbhajan Singh is situated in the centre of Jalandhar. The enchanted residence of the legendary off-spinner—together with his wife, the actor Geeta Basra, Bhajji created the house. Every nook and crevice of Geeta and Bhajji’s house tells a different tale of love and personal touch, serving as a monument to their common vision.
The dining space is a compelling focal point, with its extended marble table and walls painted in textured beige. A beautiful outside garden is accessible via a large floor-to-ceiling window, offering a tranquil link to the natural world. UK native Geeta offers insights into the design process, saying, “It’s a combination of him, me, and both of us.”
With a refined aesthetic throughout the house, the actor and cricket player take great delight in being the architects and interior designers. Bhajji revealed his favourite rooms with great excitement, especially his bedroom, which is filled with treasured childhood memories and is flooded with natural light. The white colour scheme heightens peace and turns the space into a nostalgic painting.
One of the most notable aspects of Harbhajan’s house is his beloved ‘den,’ a sports bar he lovingly constructed out of his cricket stumps and decorated with autographs from other cricketers. Memorabilia is proudly on display, including a skillfully produced rendition of Harbhajan’s iconic Test hat-trick by a buddy who is himself a skilled artist.
The three-story villa offers a premium entertainment experience with its own theatre, including leather-insulated walls and accentuated wood. Harbhajan emphasises the value of comfort, which makes it the ideal environment for resting and winding down. The verdant terrace with its vertical garden offers a peaceful haven. Their children, Hinaya and Jovan, use the large grass as a playground, and it’s also a fun place to produce fruits and vegetables, which helps the family stay closer to the natural world. Harbhajan is thankful for this fortunate area where seasonal vegetables grow and Hinaya and Jovan can play freely.
“People with those feelings, those vibes, those families, and those feelings of love and affection make up homes. It is serene when we get home, and we adore it. Yes, it feels like our place,” Harbhajan remarked kindly. Geeta also elaborated on the home’s design, saying, “The more neutral, the better; it looks more elegant. We are the interior designers and architects. We’ve completed every task.”
