The Telangana State Government will form an Apex Committee with the senior officials of various government departments and members of Blue Cross. This committee will formulate activities for prevention of dog nuisance and control of dog bite incidents.
Resident welfare societies, slum level federations and school students are sensitized on the behavior of stray dogs. An Information, Education and Communication (IEC) campaign will be undertaken in this regard
Animal protection centers will be set up soon in all the urban local bodies of the state
A training program will be conducted for sanitary jawans, field sanitary assistants, women self help groups and mothers groups in every ward of GHMC within the next week to create awareness about the menace of stray dogs.
Two shelter homes for stray dogs in the city will be set up on an experimental basis in the GHMC
GHMC will undertake a survey of stray dogs in the city along with sterilization drive and anti-rabies vaccination of all stray dogs.

Garbage is removed everywhere to prevent stray dogs from congregating. Proper disposal of food waste is ensured by hotels, restaurants, function halls etc
GHMC will take steps to establish a mandatory crèche in the construction area. Because children of construction workers are being attacked by dogs at sites when parents leave children at work.
Awareness is given to dog breeders as well as those who feed stray dogs.
