Maharashtra RERA has declared that it recovered Rs 101 crore from erring builders towards fine. Maha RERA often serves notices on builders who fail to deliver the projects on time and also follow up with them and recovered fine from them. It said that it recovered Rs 100.56 crore from builders of 118 projects in Mumbai city, Mumbai suburban areas, Pune and Rayagadh.
It served 594 warrants on them to recover Rs 413.79 crore. Acting on complaints from buyers like failure to deliver units on time, suspending execution of projects in the middle, executing projects with no quality, the RERA recovered the amount.
