Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Jaganmohan Reddy has directed officials to provide all amenities to Jagananna colonies like electricity, drainages, drinking water and so on. In a meeting to review the progress with officials, the CM asked the officials to contact the beneficiaries of the housing colonies and later provide electricity connections to all houses. Wherever there is delay in construction of houses due to litigation and other disputes, the CM asked the officials to prepare alternative plans for execution of the houses.
He made it clear to the officials that they should immediately attend to resolve the problems related to construction of houses. The officials told the CM that the works pertaining to construction of weaker section houses have been stepped up. During the current fiscal year, Rs 64.35 crore have been spent under construction of houses. They said that the inspection teams have been visiting the layouts without fail and conducting four or five types of tests at all places.
