The RERA, which has been introduced to inject a degree of transparency in the real estate sector across the nation, has been growing rather steadily.
All projects must get registered with the RERA. As a result, the number of projects registered with RERA has been increasing over a period of time. Last year, 19,050 projects were registered with the RERA, including the maximum number of 2,281 projects registered in July and 2134 in December. On average, 1587 projects register with the RERA per month. Residential projects constitute 45% of the total projects registered with the RERA, while commercial projects constitute only 10%. Further, 12% of the projects constituted were venture projects, while other projects constituted 33%. Last year, a total of 4.82-lakh houses were sold. In addition, a total of 10.42 lakh houses were ready for sale in the inventory. Regarding the Hyderabad market, last year a total of 71,912 houses were registered.
