Bollywood actress and BJP MP Kangana Ranaut has sold her bungalow in Mumbai’s Bandra Hill, Pali Hill for Rs 32 crore. The bungalow, which had made headlines four years ago for construction violations, has been sold by Kangana. She purchased the property in September 2017 for Rs 20 crore. The bungalow spans 3,075 square feet and includes a 565 square feet parking area.
The property was bought from Kangana by Shweta Bhathija, a partner at Kamalini Holdings in Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu. The sale registration occurred on September 5, with the buyer paying Rs 1.92 crore in stamp duty and Rs 30,000 in registration fees. In September 2020, the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation partially demolished Kangana’s house, citing unauthorized construction. Kangana mentioned in an interview in 2023 that she should be compensated for this action.
However, she recently stated that, as a public representative now, she does not wish to receive compensation, as it would come from taxpayers’ money. Kangana Ranaut, who won as a BJP MP from Mandi in Himachal Pradesh, declared assets worth Rs 91 crore in her election affidavit, including Rs 28.7 crore in movable assets and Rs 62.9 crore in immovable assets.
