The sale of houses has increased marginally in Hyderabad compared to the sales achieved in the first six months of the last year. This year, during the first six months, the sales have registered a 5% growth. In fact, 15,355 units were sold during the first six months this year as against 14,693 sold during the corresponding period last year. House sales across eight major cities of the country dropped by 1% to 1,56,640 in the first six months of this year, according to a report by the real estate agency Knight Frank.
According to the agency, in the first six months of the last year saw the sale of 1,58,705. The house prices have increased 2-10 per cent this year compared to last year. House sales in Mumbai decreased by 8% to 40,798 units, followed by Delhi, which saw an increase in the sales by 3% to 30,114 units. Home sales in Bangalore dropped by 2 % to 26,247 units, while Pune registered a drop in sales by 1% (21,670 units sold). A 3% growth has been seen in the sales in Chennai market. Sale of 7,150 units were recorded here. House sales in Kolkata went up by 3% to 7,324 units. In Ahmadabad, the sales declined by 3 % to 7,982 units.
