Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy has announced that the entire state of Telangana will be developed as a green Telangana. Speaking on the occasion of Telangana’s formation day, he said, “We are laying foundations for the future with long-term plans, not short-term ideas.” He announced that they are preparing “Green Telangana 2050 Master Plan” for the entire Telangana. He explained that the state is being divided into three zones. The area within the Hyderabad Outer Ring Road is Urban Telangana, the area between the Outer Ring Road and the Regional Ring Road is Sub Urban Telangana, and the area from the Regional Ring Road to the borders of Telangana State is Rural Telangana. He said that in this mega plan, they will clearly announce where the development should take place in the three zones, where the infrastructure should be built.
He further shared, “We are going to transform the catchment area into an employment generation zone through the Musi beautification scheme. Rs 1000 crore have already been allocated for this. There is no doubt that this scheme will take the brand image of Hyderabad to another level. It includes three aspects – tourism, economy, and environment. Musi also serves as a source of irrigation water in the upper joint Rangareddy and lower joint Nalgonda districts. We have announced the metro expansion plan to meet the needs of the people. We will try to complete the regional ring road as soon as possible. We are giving priority to irrigation projects that can provide more water at a low cost. We will take all necessary decisions for the economic revival of the state.”
