About 21000 cases pertaining to the GHMC are in pending before several courts. Of them, 5000 are under trial for the past several years. The GHMC has been cooperating with lawyers in filing counters on time. However, the state government is taking care of the cases that are under trial before the apex court, according to a GHMC officer who wished to remain anonymous.
