The astonishingly Bipasha Basu has a gorgeous home whose most appealing feature is the terrace garden, which doubles up as a yoga studio, workout station, reading spot and even a pseudo open cafe for an evening coffee date. Her hubby in particular makes great use of this space, which could easily be termed as the couple’s favourite hangout spot. As served by their Instagram accounts, during the lockdown, this was the couple’s favourite spot for many activities. When Karan was bored of his regular gymming equipment, he switched dumbbells for soil bags and broke a sweat. Huge potted plants, wooden furnishings, a bespoke wicker swing chair and ample natural light are the main components of this house. The bedroom on the other hand, which is seen frequently on Instagram too, has wooden flooring, features a massive bed, a minimal and functional side lamp and a sofa.
The couple’s home in Bandra, full of wood finishing, warm lighting and earthy touches, is a cosy haven away from the shutterbugs. From the sprawling terrace garden to painting studio to their homey living room — everything is so cool. Because the floor’s elevation is low relative to surrounding buildings, the couple has had tall wooden panels fitted along the terrace to maintain their privacy. With floor-to-ceiling windows and a pyramid-style wooden ceiling, this greenhouse-style room on Bipasha Basu’s terrace sits right next to their rooftop garden, and looks like the perfect spot for Sunday brunches with friends. For the time being, however, this spot seems to have become a makeshift art studio for Grover, and houses several canvases.
The glass room also features a large chandelier that gives it a regal touch, and a pink suede couch covered with colourful cushions adds an unexpected pop of colour to the area. Neutral hues contrasted by dark wooden accents form the base of Bipasha Basu’s living room area. Grey suede couches peppered with sequinned cushions rest against one wall of the room, which also features a handpicked collection of photographs from the couple’s much-talked-about wedding celebrations. A fluffy beige rug on the wood-tiled floor adds more warmth to the cosy space.
