Don’t issue temporary OCs

  • RERA advices authorities

The Uttar Pradesh Real Estate Regulatory Authority (UP RERA) has issued clear directives to relevant officials to refrain from issuing provisional Completion Certificates (CC) and Occupancy Certificates (OC). It has emphasized that issuing provisional CCs and OCs is against regulations and has instructed that no such certificates should be issued. Additionally, it has advised that the name of the tower or block within the project must be explicitly mentioned when issuing CCs and OCs.

Instructions have been given to all industrial and housing development authorities to adhere to this requirement. RERA has noted that currently, only the project name is being mentioned in the certificates, without referring to the tower or block name. Therefore, it has been specified that the tower or block name must be included in both the OC and CC.
