Villas and pods for dogs, designer furniture
Hyderabad-based startup SVAG Pet Homes has entered the field of “Barkitecture.” This is the first concept of its kind in the country. Just as architecture exists for human habitats, “Barkitecture” refers to designs for structures made for dogs. This concept focuses on creating villas, pods, and designer furniture for our pets. The products of their startup, including Barky Villas, Barky Pods, and Barky Furniture, were unveiled in Hyderabad by SVAG Pet Homes founders Sushanth Kanneganti, Vishal Bothra, co-founders Gopal Varma and Anudeep.
Speaking on the occasion, they emphasised that Barkitecture is a new trend for pet lovers. The products include homes, villas, pods, and furniture for animals. They pointed out that after the pandemic, the adoption of pets, especially dogs, has reached its peak, which has led to the rise of Barkitecture. This trend represents a new way of interior design for pet lovers. As Vishal Bothra explained, it is an interior design trend where a specific area of the home is designed to meet the personal needs and preferences of your pet.
During the COVID-19 pandemic, dogs provided essential companionship and emotional support, leading many people to start adopting them. Recently, pet owners are looking for designer homes for their furry friends. In this context, SVAG Pet Homes has introduced Barky Villas, Pods, and pet-friendly furniture, marking the first time such products have been launched in the country. These items are designed to offer comfort for dogs while also enhancing the beauty of homes. Currently, Barky has a manufacturing center in Aramghar, Hyderabad, along with 25 stock-keeping units. The company has made an investment of Rs. 1.8 crore.
Barky products are available online at www.barkkey.com and also on Amazon. They can also be ordered through Instagram. The price range for these products is between Rs. 15,000 to Rs. 5 lakh. Additionally, the company is launching “B-Bowl” to support street dog welfare, providing love and food to every street dog. Moreover, they have also started the Barky Foundation, which promotes responsible pet ownership.
