The Special Investigation Team (SIT) probing the RERA scam in Kalyan-Dombivli Municipal Corporation has frozen bank accounts of 40 developers out of 65 developers involved in the scam in Kalyan-Dombivli. The SIT has also asked land revenue and other departments to stop the transfer of land or flats of these developers since the constructed building is illegal and is constructed using forged documents. An official said that developers had sold many of the flats from these illegal buildings constructed in the last three years. The SIT has also written to the Kalyan-Dombivli Municipal Corporation asking it to get the structural audit of these 65 constructed buildings and to investigate if the quality of the structures constructed is good or not.
