Dream houses are related to our own soul & spirit! In conversation with senior actor Brahmaji we realized how his dream home represents the temple of his mind & is just aptly a reflection of his emotional mental state. His feelings towards the house is a reminder to look after yourself and that you need to think about the exterior of your life too. For him, an empty house just means missed opportunities. “I shifted to Hyderabad from the city of Chennai & in no time I made the former city my permanent abode. Initially, I was residing in a residential complex. At that point, it seemed so small to me — a 3bhk apartment. I pondered upon, when will this expand into an even bigger home and that was it, that was my hint to work even more harder for myself and family,” he shared with us.
The power of a positive, aesthetically appealing space is undeniable! He prefers a bright, and perfectly adorned room any given day over one that is dull, dark and lifeless. The ‘Gulabi’ actor surprisingly revealed to us that his wife herself is an interior designer & a sanctuary of all your creative processes is truly a task to undertake. He continues, “Because of my wife, I never had to struggle to give inputs into my house. My wife is in-charge of how one can beautifully decorate the home. She’s designer-cum-decorator! She’s so fond of artifacts. She decides what accessories, artistic pieces, paints, and the like can be used to beautify a given space. From the past 5-6 years I can see what wonderful decor pieces she has bought from the markets of Hyderabad that suit our pretty home well. She crafts spaces that anticipate our needs and appeal to our emotions! We have a beautiful collection, from every corner of the country you’ll find one or the other reminiscent of it. Be it a serene bell or a world famous painting, we will try to accommodate it in the current space we live in. Uniqueness is our USP of the home we live in.”
The Sindhooram fame finds the real estate scene of Hyderabad to be one of the best in the whole country, he says that the city is building fine-quality homes that none can find anywhere else. Whoever comes to attend occasional parties at the actor’s residence, the only thing they can’t stop gushing about is his interiors. Not just this, he also owns a luxurious glass penthouse, so approachable that two of the films have also been shot there stating it as a ‘Malaysian’ house due to its appearance, classy & stylish! “Anybody who comes from abroad, looking to shoot their movie in Telangana, they approach me for the best scouting prices and the savvy penthouse that it’s. Similarly, there’s another property that I own in Coonoor, Ooty. Very recently, we found the Film Nagar area in Hyderabad very suitable to buy a property. It’s as colorful as a rainbow! Personally, I am not all for lavishness however I have a strong attachment towards sentimental decor. We have always tried to blend both my wife & my taste together. Home should look like one and not like a commercialized hotel!,” he added.
The character artist exclaims that lavish Michelin star interiors will always lead to boredom, maximum four to five years. Even one gets bored of the industrial look, it becomes plastic look-alike according to him and hence he preferred to go by an indo-western appearance. He also stated, “It’s human tendency the individual wants to be up-to-date even in the matters of villa or whatever kind you own. The penthouse remains my most favorite property because of its vast rooftop terrace and when you stand there, what a view! You’ll be surrounded by a village set-up, it makes me feel so rooted. Many Tollywood stars have visited that penthouse and only had good words to shower. On the other partition of that penthouse, we have made a contemporary party place!” The actor-cum-comedian is not so gaga over villas, they are all similar looking he feels.
There’s no privacy, the design is typical but he immensely loves residential complexes. He also mentioned even if has 100crs in his pocket, he is still going to maintain his budget. He continues further, “Many richie rich stars have crores of bungalows, yet they admire my property equally with so much of love and fondness. Ram Gopal Varma had a huge compliment to give me! He told me he got to visit so many luxurious houses in Bombay, but he fell for my Manikonda property. But let me notify you, it’s not easy to build the home of your likes.
It was a hell lot of struggle in which my wife gave me a complimentary hand.” Fan of superstar Krishna, actor don’t forget to pay his regular visits to the popular expo-market of Nampally called ‘Numaish’ only for decor and that seems like his favorite task to do while building the home of his dreams. And, when it comes to his choices, he adores Venkatesh Daggubati’s home truly only because it’s situated right in the heart of this city that’s the Manikonda hill. An even more intriguing aspect that he revealed to us about the former actor’s home is how he didn’t forget to create a ‘gaushala’, he is culturally rooted. He has traveled the whole world, yet the actor sums up the conversation by saying that he would want to build another property in Ooty town and that’s something beautiful about his viewpoint and attraction towards the town.
