Bank officials seize builder bungalow

In a case of defaulting repayment of loan, bungalow of a construction company proprietor has been seized in Goa. He was identified as Venkatesh Prabhu Moni, proprietor of Prabhu constructions. He owned a two-storey building spread over a plinth area of 7,681 square meters in Bardez locality of Goa. However, Mamlatdar of Bardez area – Dasarath Gawas – got the building seized as the realtor failed to clear the loan obtained from Canara Bank. Earlier, a notice was sent to the realtor on Sep 22 to vacate the bungalow in 48 hours. Later, the police took possession of the structure and sealed it in the presence of Canara Bank officials and handed over the keys to the bank authorities.
