Union Petroleum, Natural Gas, Housing and Urban Affairs Minister Hardeep Singh Puri on Sunday said while speaking with beneficiaries of Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojna in Visakhapatnam and said that the Centre allotted 20 lakh housing units to Andhra Pradesh under the scheme. He said that AP topped the list of states which have been allotted housing units. He said that many more units would be sanctioned to the AP if necessary. He transferred Rs 203 crore to the 42,324 beneficiaries of the scheme. He also distributed keys of the houses and documents to the beneficiaries. Under Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Scheme, nine crore people are going to derive benefit, he said. Under the scheme each beneficiary would be given three LPG connections.
