QR code must on brochures, advertisements

Asserts RERA

The Uttar Pradesh Real Estate Regulatory Authority (UP RERA) has decided that every project registered with RERA will be assigned a QR code. This code will be issued for both new projects and existing ones with proper registration.

Buyers can scan this QR code to access all details related to the project from the RERA website. To facilitate this, promoters will need to include the QR code in their brochures, advertisements, and other promotional materials. UP RERA Chairman Sanjay Bhoosreddy stated, “We will provide a QR code for every project so that buyers can access comprehensive details about the project as well as information about the promoter. Promoters must ensure that this code is prominently displayed on all promotional materials, advertisements, booking forms, allotment letters, BBAs, and other documents provided to buyers.”

He clarified that the QR code must be included on all documents such as booking forms, allotment letters, BBAs, and other advertisements. This measure will allow access to detailed information including land documents, approved layouts, maps, project specifications, facilities, project start and completion dates, bank account details, promoters, co-promoters, registered agents, quarterly progress reports, occupancy certificates, completion certificates, and no objection certificates.
