UP RERA is making good progress in solving the problems of buyers. UP RERA, which has taken many steps for the benefit of home buyers, has recently settled the disputes on properties worth Rs 570 crore through compromise. The disputes between February 2019 and December 2023 have been brought to an end through a conciliation forum. RERA officials said that 73 percent of the complaints received at the conciliation forum were resolved. During this period, a total of 1930 complaints came to the conciliation forum. The RERA Forum was established in February 2019 to provide first-hand resolutions to real estate disputes.
Many complaints registered under RERA can be redressed. This includes non-delivery of property on time, interest for delay, asking for compensation, recalculation of charges paid by the promoter, allocation of parking space, payment of maintenance charges, etc. Before filing petitions on such complaints, a conciliation forum was set up to discuss and reach a compromise with the two sides. The Conciliation Forum was launched by the UP RERA in collaboration with representatives of homebuyers, CREDAI members, and RERA officials.
