The RERA authority is cracking the whip in Telangana state. A press release released by RERA said fines were imposed on three real estate firms for defying the RERA show cause notice. RERA has booked the three companies for their negligence in not submitting the answers to the RERA authority, which is required to give a reply within fifteen days. On Tuesday, RERA issued orders imposing a fine of Rs 3 lakh on Medchal, Malkajigiri, and Kompally Srinivasam Developers; Rs 36.50 lakh on DNS Infra Company in the Quthbullapur-Suchitra area of Medchal-Malkajigiri district; and Rs 25 lakh on Patancheruvu Suvarnabhumi Infra Developers.
The TS RERA authority has imposed a fine on these companies for carrying out advertising and marketing activities in violation of RERA regulations. TS RERA Chairman Dr. N Satyanarayana has warned that registration in RERA is mandatory for real estate projects to carry out their business activities, and appropriate legal action will be taken against projects violating RERA regulations. He said that real estate companies should act responsibly to protect the rights of buyers to realise their dream of owning a home.
