House sales come down in Hyd , the value of home sales decreased by 18% in 2024 compared to the previous year. While home sales in 2023 totaled Rs 1.28 lakh crore, they dropped to Rs 1.05 lakh crore in 2024, reflecting a reduction of approximately Rs 13,000 crore. These figures were revealed in the latest report by Prop Equity. However, on a national scale, the value of home sales across the nine major cities saw a positive growth of 12%, reaching Rs 6.73 lakh crore in 2024, compared to Rs 6.00 lakh crore in 2023. Among the cities, Gurugram witnessed a significant increase, with home sales rising from Rs 64,314 crore in 2023 to Rs 1.06 lakh crore in 2024.

The Delhi-NCR region also saw a notable 63% growth, with sales reaching Rs 1.53 lakh crore. Mumbai’s home sales grew by 13%, totaling Rs 1.38 lakh crore, while Navi Mumbai recorded a 32% increase, bringing sales to Rs 25,000 crore. Thane saw a 6% rise in sales to Rs 56,000 crore, and Bengaluru’s sales grew by 13%, reaching Rs 85,000 crore. Chennai, Kolkata, and Pune also experienced growth in home sales, with Chennai seeing a 5% increase to Rs 20,000 crore, Kolkata rising 15% to Rs 15,000 crore, and Pune witnessing a slight decline of 1%, with sales totaling Rs 76,000 crore.
