In a significant move, the Government of West Bengal in is budget for 2023-24 has extended the 2% stamp duty concession and 10 per cent concession in circle rate by another six months. The decision will give much needed boost to the realty sector. In fact, the concession is going to expire by March 31. To support the realty sector which suffered heavily due to Covid, the West Bengal Government in 2021 provided the stamp duty and circle rate concession. The concession has been extended once again. An announcement has been made in this regard in the state budget 2023-24. Minister Chandrima Bhattacharya said the concession has been extended further by six months.
