Auction of plots in Rajiv Swagruha Township in Mahabubnagar evoked overwhelming response. The auction netted the government revenue of Rs 15.33 crore. In all, 190 bidders took part in the auction. Over 45 plots were sold in the auction. The highest price quoted by bidders was Rs 19,000 per square yard, while the lowest amount quoted was Rs 8100 per square yard. Buyers evinced interest in bidding for plots in seventh ward of Bhutpur municipality. Since they happened to be government plots and the township has all other amenities, many vied with each other to buy the plots. East facing plots fetched the highest price of Rs 21,400 per square yard.
