The director of Gujara Construction Private Limited of Madhu Vihar, Shravan Kumar Chaudhary, 52, in Delhi, was arrested by the city police for cheating a person of Rs 2.33 crore in the name of a property sale agreement. He was accused of cheating Sushil Kumar, a resident of Noida, in the name of a property deal. He created fraudulent documents to sell a property of the Noida Authority worth Rs. 9 crore to the victim. He said that there is a seven-storey commercial complex in Harola under Noida Sector 5, where half of it is ready to be sold for Rs 9.5 crore.
With this, Sushil Kumar decided to buy the property and signed an agreement on November 25 last year. Later, Rs. 2.33 crores were paid in installments. However, Sushil Kumar realised that the documents were not correct and that he had been cheated. He asked Shravan Kumar to return his money. Sushil Kumar approached the police after Shravan threatened him. The police have also issued lookout notices for Shravan, who has been absconding since then. In this context, Shravan, who returned from London, was detained at the Delhi airport.
