As long as there are cheaters, there will be cheating happening all around us. Moreover, there is a lot of fraud happening in the real estate sector. Recently, a new type of fraud has emerged in this sector. A man pretended to be a builder and cheated many buyers. His daily routine is to take advance money from people by showing flats that are built by others and later disappear. Recently, two victims were cheated by him, and they approached the police. The police later arrested the accused.
The arrested person has been identified as Sumit Dubey, 30. A native of Vasai, Maharashtra, he introduces himself as a builder and advertises the sale of flats in new and old buildings in the Vasai area on social media platforms under the name of Mahalakshmi Builders and Developers, a two-star real estate company. He also advertises many flats in Vasai and Nalasopara on online websites. He shows the flats being built by other builders to those who are interested in new flats. After that, he takes some money in advance and then spends it. Recently, he collected Rs. 6 lakh from two people and disappeared. The victims, who realised that they were cheated, filed a complaint with the police. The police rushed to the scene and arrested the accused. His companion was also detained.
